I’ve been on a bit of a Sailor Moon kick lately.

I originally created the template for this business card while I was working on this design. I liked the idea of having a card geared more towards gaming companies where I would ideally like to work, but decided to go with the option that would target the entertainment industry as a whole.

Today I decided to revisit my old design and in a couple of hours produced this more polished piece. I am very pleased with how it turned out and I like the sleek look of it. I may end up using this permanently.

Shift Plus is complete!

It was a pleasure getting to work along side Aaron Lenard while this project was in development. I remember the constant challenges he faced to ensure his concept was coming across clearly to the audience. I think his countless hours really paid off and he should be extremely proud of the result.

I had a blast designing the retro looking logo and getting to animate both of those characters. It just reaffirmed my passion for games and animation.

Hope the rest of you enjoy it!

A wild demo reel appears!
I put together a new demo reel with all my latest animations, including my shots from the Madcow short I have been talking so much about! As always, there is still room for improvement so don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any suggestions, critique, or questions. I would be thrilled to hear from you.

A very close friend of mine offered to help the maid of honor by creating the invitations for this bride’s surprise bridal shower. When she ran into some trouble with the designs, I produced this within a few hours. Though my friend was thoroughly impressed with the result, unfortunately the design was never used. Nevertheless, this still proved to be good practice for me.

This short film was created by my good friend Dan Augsburger as part of his thesis for the Savannah College of Art and Design. I had the pleasure to watch it develop from its original pencil drawings to this final product as well as animate a couple scenes and work with some of the character models.

It was a long and strenuous process, but I’m sure the hard work paid off and it came out just to Dan’s liking. I was honored to be a part the team and I hope he continues with the idea.

Flashbulb is a film noir inspired short created by my friend, Bill Kivi, whom I had worked with a lot during our time at the Savannah College of Art and Design. His goal with this particular film was to establish that as often as animation seems to be for children, it can also be entertaining and appreciated by adult audiences.

I  was responsible for animating two scenes and modeled some of the furniture in the victim’s living room. I also designed and animated the motion graphics during the opening title and credits sequences.

I could probably ramble on for quite a while as to why I find the Avatar series by Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino so inspirational, but I may as well spare you from some heavy reading. Instead, I’ll happily go on to say that since The Legend of Korra has aired, I have been much more motivated to pick up on my drawing again lately.
Since I loved the bickering dynamic between Mako and Korra from the last episode, I decided to illustrate it for myself. I hope I get to see more of this as the season continues.
“You’re jealous. You do have feelings for me.”“Jealous? Don’t be ridiculous.”“Admit it. You like me.”
